Basecamp cabin for two

This cabin is a great basecamp for heading to Pisgah and Dupont. Located within a mile of downtown, yet you feel like you are out in the country. There are beautiful mountain and pasture views from the back porch. There is a house on one side of the cabin, but a fence in between for privacy. Sit on the back porch and watch the Scottish Highland cattle graze while you enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. This property is on a working farm, so you may see farm equipment around the property.

Tranquility Oak is located on Lake Wanteska inside Connestee Falls, a gated community in the Western North Carolina mountain town of Brevard (20 minutes to downtown and 60 minutes to Asheville). We took the 1950 cabin, home to the legendary bootlegger Clyde McCall, lifted it up and put a new footer, foundation, and sun room addition. Next, we set it back down and totally refurbished from the studs out. Everything is new inside and out.
