Follow a long gravel driveway before you can view this comfortable house in the country. This house is 12 easy miles from the Town of Farmville and all it has to offer. Longwood University and Hampden-Sydney College is near by. Visit High Bridge State Park for hiking and Greenfront is a shopping destination. Lots of dining options will appeal to every taste and plenty of other activities to enjoy in this area. There is no phone-internet or satellite at The Hide-A-Way, Cell phones do work.

A peaceful, quiet, and cozy home on 36 acres of beautiful land that rests just 5 minutes from Hampden-Sydney College and 10 minutes from Longwood University. UPDATE: Extreme drought in effect, affecting lake levels. Cove is inaccessible by boat below 298 ft mean sea level. Check kerr . uslakes . info for lake level status. Contact us with questions. We are happy to share our most recent photos of the dock and cove area. Keep in mind that levels can fluctuate dramatically on a weekly basis.

The kitchen includes a stove, fridge, blender, coffee maker, and microwave. The bedroom has a Queen bed, and the bathroom has a spacious shower. This cabin is small but very personable, around the camp it is affectionately known as The Pickle. Perfect for quiet getaways in the country.

Surrounded by hayfields, cow pastures, and mature hardwood trees, this third generation home, dating back to 1919, provides ample space for guests to relax and enjoy themselves. Recently renovated using wood cut from the property and farmhouse style decor (Joanna Gaines inspired), this home is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Farm House Retreat

This quaint 1743 farmhouse has been lovingly restored and offers a quiet reprieve from the city or rest from a long drive. We are at the end of a private road and are nestled among 70 acres of hardwood forest. Nights are dark and quiet and days are filled with free ranging chickens and guinea fowl. We are diligently rebuilding native habitat and work on site. Our home is on the property across the ponds. A confirmed identity is required for booking.
