Our 5 wilderness cabins are uniquely hand crafted by the owner Angelo with locally and custom built beds, stained glass windows, carvings and themed iron rails. All cabins have water views from your sheltered deck and are footsteps away from a communal cook space. Our central location is a PERFECT start for day tripping around the island and you are just footsteps away from North River Kayak Tours. We now have starlink fast internet! Beautiful space overlooks the beach and ocean (where the Atlantic flows into the Bras D'or Lakes). Bright, spacious, open concept living space with 10-foot ceilings. Main level bedroom and 2nd level loft, which has three single beds and half bath. The loft is very spacious and has ample headspace. Surround deck with glass. Excellent location close to amenities and festivals. Great place to get away from it all ..peaceful. The private beach is a hidden gem.

The old trail cabin.

Situated on a hillside overlooking the historic St. Ann’s bay, the Old Trail cabin is conveniently located just 5.5km from the start of the Cabot trail and the Gaelic College. A great spot to start or finish your Cabot Trail adventures! The cabin is designed to feel as open and airy as possible for a small space. The bedroom has a queen bed and the loft has a single bed. Kitchenette has coffee maker, toaster, mini fridge and microwave. All amenities needed are only 15 mins away in Baddeck.

Driftwood Cottage, Gateway to the Cabot Trail.

The Cottage is fully equipped with everything you will need. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, pull out couch, washer, dryer, SmartTV, wifi, kitchen with a fridge, stove/oven, microwave, coffer maker and a BBQ. A beautiful view of Ann's Bay. Beach access at the Community Hall minutes up the street. Just a minute away from the Englishtown Ferry to the Cabot Trail. In the middle of it all 20 mins to Baddeck, 25 mins to North Sydney and 40 mins to Ingonish and Cape Breton Highlands National park.

The Trailhead Guest Cottage

Our peaceful oceanfront guest cottage is situated at the head of the 9.5 km Pollett's Cove hiking trail.  We recommend a two night stay - first night, settle in with a beverage, evening sunset and star gazing.  Wake to coffee and farm fresh breakfast delivered to your door step (except in August when we are on vacation), before hitting the trail to Pollett's Cove, the Skyline or any of the 30 other nearby national park trails. Have a swim, and return to a hot outdoor shower. Repeat!

Cabot Trail Wilderness Cabin | The Canopy

The Canopy is the 2nd largest of the 3 wilderness cabins, and closest to the washrooms, nestled among the forest which leads down to the waterfront. All the cabins sleep two people, with a personal fire pit, bbq, kitchenette, drinking water (although no running water), and all the amenities needed to spend a few nights in nature. The shared outdoor bathroom has been hand crafted with lots of natural light, a composting toilet (i.e. non-flushing), hot water shower and two sinks.

Lakefront apartment provides amazing views in a comfortable setting for an enjoyable vacation or travel to Cape Breton. We are 30 minutes from the Newfoundland Ferry terminal in North Sydney, 20 minutes from the entrance to the Cabot Trail via the Englishtown Cable Ferry . We are 30 minutes from the Village of Baddeck, home of the Alexander Graham Bell Museum and the and the Falls in rear Baddeck. Louisbourg is 1 1/2 hours away.

My 2 bedroom cottage has a private yard and screen porch for morning coffee (provided!☕️). 2 small bedrooms both have queen beds and dressers, full living room, fully equipped kitchen (just bring food/spices). Full bathroom with walk-in shower. Private BBQ. FAST Starlink WIFI, shampoo, soaps provided. Leashed dogs A-ok! 🐕 😊 Driveway is steep but well maintained. Sorry, no motorcycles, please.
