As soon as you walk in time seems to stop, it will be difficult to leave. There is a magic here, perhaps it's the colors emanating from the natural walls & floor. Also in walking distance is Gwithian nature reserve, the South West Coastal Path as well as The Red River Inn, The Rockpool and Godrevy Cafe which are all dog friendly.
