A short drive to the charming little town of Madison with many good restaurants and shops and to Hammonasset State park with walking trails and a beautiful beach . 48 River Rd. Is situated on the edge of a glacial rock formation on a scenic country road and is accessible to all the Good Stuff.

The Barn by the Sound

Spend a weekend in The Barn: a modern designed free-standing building with guest studio apartment above, designed to look like a barn; the studio has views at tree level of a quiet, old neighborhood; one block from Long Island Sound; on a section of the historic old Boston Post Road. There is lots of natural light coming from a large window with a lovely view of a privet hedge on our property overlooking a park like property across the street.

1 bedroom apt with king bed, 2 full bathrooms (1 w bathtub), full kitchen with keurig, living room and workspace. All couches pull out to beds (4 beds total). Free cable/Roku, WiFi and beach access. 1 minute walk from 2 beaches, and minutes from center of town, shopping and various weekly town events. Main building has a full restaurant with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Maid service not provided. Dog friendly - dog must be well behaved.
