Historic Loblolly Lodge at Ratcliff Lake

The Loblolly Lodge was built by Frank Taylor as a gathering place for his family around 1940. Remodeled in 2018, it now boasts of all the modern conveniences for a great getaway. With 2400sf of indoor living space & a 640sf covered back porch there is plenty of space for several families. The Lodge is nestled on 11 private wooded acres adjacent to Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area in the Davy Crockett National Forest which offers fishing, swimming, picnicking, and hiking for a small entrance fee.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This rustic yet modern cabin is situated on 100 acres but conveniently only 2 miles off of Highway 79 in Oakwood. It is surrounded by large ranches on all sides. No neighbors in sight. Sit on the front porch and watch for wildlife or have a visit with our livestock which could range from goats, horses or cattle. This is our first rental property and we are excited to share this well thought out cabin.

It is located about 1.5 hours south of Dallas and 2 hours north of Houston. As a guest at B2 ranch you will have the opportunity to explore, hike, bike, kayak, canoe, fish, observe wildlife, or just relax. Also, the lake cabin is the only guest accommodation on the ranch, making it a true get away.
