Modern, brand new a-frame cabin on the river. Overlooks the peaceful Illinois river. Watch the floaters go by from the comfort of your deck. The cabin is luxurious with all the modern amenities, hot tub professionally maintained, fast wifi, Roku TV. This is the perfect place to sneak away with a loved one for a long weekend on the river. By day you watch the stream of floater and kayakers, by early evening it’s the wildlife’s turn with eagles, owls and crane take over the banks of the river.

Set on 250 acres that include Clear Creek, bluffs, pastures, and forest, the farmhouse offers seclusion and quiet for one or two people looking for a getaway. There are paths to wander, a deck to sit on overlooking a pasture, thousands of books to peruse, old maps, a turntable with some eclectic vinyl, and farmdogs who love new people. We live on site and can tell stories or let you be. We prefer some dialog before booking.

But, now I’ve moved on to my next project and I’m eager to share this cottage with my guests! "Welcome to Jean's house! This cozy little house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an extra sofa bed. This house is a short 12 minute drive to the Mid America Industrial Park. It is walking distance from two of Chouteau's famous restaurants, the Dutch Pantry and Amish Cheese House. Nettie Ann's Bakery is right next to the Amish Cheese House. There is a garage to park your vehicle inside, the second garage is available if you let us know ahead of time."
