Welcome to Kanda East, our lovingly restored home that dates back to the 1970s. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind, while being a 1-minute walk to one of the best cafes in the area, a 3-minute walk to our local beach that's great for snorkelling and swimming, and less than 10 minutes walk to our nearest surf spot. The house comes with its own private pool too, an essential in the Tropics! For larger groups, Kanda West adjoins this property, and sleeps two extra people in one bedroom.

Licuala's Tropical House was built guided by the philosophy of simplicity and minimalism, inspired to maximise the use of space. This house sleeps 3 as the large daybed downstairs doubles up as a single bed. This is one of five hideaway homes on the estate. Each house is hidden by its own flora and fauna. Our homes were designed to give a sense of privacy and space, bringing you close to nature to rest and be inspired by. Kabalana beach is a 5min walk away.

Private gardens and pool. 10 mins walk to the beach and a short tuktuk to Unawatuna, Thalpe restaurants and Galle Fort. If the house is not available, check out our Garden Suites, or Mango House Villa located next door, with the same wonderful team.

Nestled under the trees, the two-bedroom Kohomba villa benefits from its own private entrance. Each of the two bedrooms feature sweeping views of the Indian ocean from a private balcony.
