Even if the weather doesn't cooperate, there is plenty to entertain indoors, and it's close enough to explore the Finger Lakes, Auburn, Aurora, and Skaneateles. Close to the Fingerlakes, this Little Cabin in the Big Woods is a off-grid, secluded, pond-side cabin on 56 acres of private woods. Unplug and enjoy a peaceful weekend in nature. No worries, we have hot showers and generator provided electric for evening lights and recharging devices. Open seasonally from May - Oct. Swim off the dock in the private pond, or paddle the kayak or canoe. Ten miles from Corning's Gaffer District & 25 miles to the world famous Watkins Glen State Park.

The barn is a cozy and unique space, situated on 27 acres of meadow and forest with a pond for swimming, fishing, and ice skating, depending on the season. There is no highway noise on the dirt road, and the stars shine brightly on clear nights, giving the place a true country feel, yet it’s still only a five minute drive from downtown Ithaca, Ithaca College, and Cornell University. Feel free to enjoy and play our piano, any stringed instruments, and extensive record collection!

There is easy access to the water from the sloping beach to take out the kayaks provided. Take in the beautiful sunsets while sitting in the backyard by the fire! The cottage is located just 20 minutes from the Village of Skaneateles and 30 min from Syracuse University and SUNY Cortland.
