It was refurbished recently and has underfloor heating and a woodburning stove in the sitting room. It is a perfect place for family and friends to relax. The cottage and garden are for your use, there is a large area of lawn and grass all around the cottage. An ideal location for exploring the rich history of Scotland and to enjoy nature with lochs, beaches, forests and rivers nearby.

The Hide is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique stay. Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! Mid Nov - Mar we have a winter mode as the water can freeze.

Foulis Castle, Evanton is near the ancient burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat, 9-5pm). You’ll love my place because of privacy of having your own country retreat within beautifully landscaped gardens. My place is small with one bedroom that contains either x2 singles or zip&link super-king size bed. The 3rd guest is on a roll-away mattress ideal for a child.

A bothy bedroom in the heart of the Cairngorms

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!

Self contained with it’s own private entrance it has a double bedroom with sitting area , en suite and a separate small kitchen with self catering facility consisting of microwave, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker and fridge. Tv, Wi Fi parking in the drive or free on street parking. Guests have exclusive use of suite. The property is well located in a quiet residential area 10 to 15 minute walk from City Centre.

'The Steading’ is a barn cabin on a working farm with wood burning stove set near the North Coast 500 route. Enjoy the peace of the Highlands while painting, writing, yoga, walking and cycling or simply relaxing in front of the fire with a cup of tea. NO SHOWER / NO HOT running water. Sanitizer and hand soap provided. Take your own bedding or very basic bedding provided. No phone signal/WiFi. Sleeps 2 only from the same household, or families allowed please message before booking.

Added later, the adjacent 200 year old cottage has been beautifully renovated and sits in a peaceful location within a 2 acre garden surrounded by open countryside. It’s perfectly situated as a base for exploring the highlands of Scotland, the fabulous beaches and places of interest around the Moray Firth, as well as being on the doorstep of the acclaimed Malt Whisky Trail. This renovated cottage is an executive quality, two bedroom cottage in an upmarket district of Inverness which is only a 10 minutes walk to the city centre, five minutes from Inverness Castle. The cottage was built in 1880 and Inverness has since grown up around the cottage which once stood on open farmland. Many of the top Inverness restaurants and bars are located near by. All visitors to the Highlands are welcome.
