Cass's Favorite Local Bismarck Spots

The best view of the Missouri River. It has a walking path down to pioneer park that you continues for 3.5 miles along the river ending at the Dakota Zoo. Try to catch it at sunrise or sunset if you can. Park gates lock at 10pm.

I recommend DBC not just for the beer but the atmosphere. My favorite beverage there is the chokecherry sour. If you're not one for beer, try the soda or coffee! I think the best night of the week to go there is Wednesday because they have game nights but you can play any of their board games Tues-Sat. They often support the community by bringing in local catering. If you happen to stop in on a night that Das Mountain is cooking, I highly recommend fleishkeukle. It's a favorite that is unique to the mid-west.

This local restaurant has stone fired pizzas and local beers on tap. My favorite thing to get is the Thor which is like a french dip on flat bread.

I often get asked where the best place to get locally sourced vegan food is. HERE. They grow their own herbs in the herb garden outside and the staff is super friendly.

Sit in the bar for quicker seating. My favorite thing on the menu is the prime rib sandwich. They have an ice-cream truck outside in the summer.
