Maryinez’s guidebook

This house is located in San Cristobal, one of the original colonias of Merida. Each colonia has its church and park and that of San Cristobal is especially interesting during the celebrations for the Guadalupe in December. The streets are thronged with people seeking the blessing of the Guadalupe and daily religious processions pass my house. The city's main market, Galvez de Lucas is three blocks from the house and is daily visited by many thousands of people seeking food, clothing, animal feed and anything you can imagine! It is an adventure in itself to visit this vibrant, colorful hub of activity.
