Their landlord allowed a Starbucks to move in next door back in the 90s, which inspired Broadway to begin roasting their own beans, and a few years later, that Starbucks was the first in the country to surrender and close! Broadway Cafe still has one of the best shots in the city, in a city with more and more great coffee. My go to: iced soy honey latte. Okay!
