Gold Hill provides "The Climb" by reservation. Museum free.
You are at 8500 Feet elevation, you want to stay very hydrated.
A good ole phrase you might encounter would be "Dude?" with a smile always:)
Very laid back with many roaming dogs and kids and a schoolyard with swings and things, even a basketball court and very competitive elder group sports. Hiking, and biking and walking, running and swimming in the creek are all welcome here to explore.
Packing is a very comfortable flannel shirt and some jeans and good treads!
Very nice young atmosphere with great Elders from the land who have been here like myself for over 3 decades, even more.
