Kathryn's is a great place if you're looking for a tasty meal and/or a great martini. You could even bike or walk to Kathryn's going over the footbridge at the end of the street. It's located just a couple of blocks over on Emerald Drive.

This is located in the Star Hill country club, which is across the bridge. It's open to the public. The food has never disappointed. We enjoy watching the golfers.

If you have children or just want to take a day out of the sun this is a wonderful option. They have an arcade, bowling alley, restaurant, mini golf and the sky trail ropes course. It is just across the Emerald Isle bridge.

This is the sound side pier at the corner of Cedar Street and Sound Drive, just about 1/4 mile from the house. People enjoy fishing, kayaking and it's known for being one of the best places to enjoy a gorgeous sunset over the sound.
