Just a ten minute walk from home, this market has everything. The freshest fruit's and vegi's, and fresh local fish. The fruit is usually ripe when you buy and is meant to be eaten within a few days. I recommend buying what you need for two days and then go back and get more.
It is strongly recommended that you wash any fruit that doesn't have a rind or peel with a microdyne solution before eating it. You can get the microdyne at the fruit market. Follow the instructions on the package.

This is a great walk along the ocean. So many local shops and attractions. Lots of places to grab a beer or have a lunch. Lots of sculpture art to see along the way. Walk down the street from the lobby, turn right, go north on Olas Altas and this will connect you to the Malecon.

I found this gem on the way to the Mercado Emiliano Zapata. Its cheap and cheerful and a family run business. The food is so good, and authentic. and the best Mole. Talk to the owner, she is usually there and very helpful with the menu. They will really make you anything you want.

If you are heading towards the beach, this is a great stop for groceries. They also have prepared items. I would recommend trying there guacamole and salsa. You can't go wrong with this, its always fresh. They also sell spirits and beer.

If you are requiring a covid test, Antigen or PCR, this is a great place to go. Great friendly staff. I believe they only take walk in customers, but usually not too busy.
