This is by far the best beach in Bear Lake, 10 times better than any other beach. It is absolutely worth the drive! This is where Bear Lake gets the name the Caribbean of the Rockies. It has shallow, clear, warm water. You can drive your car right to the beach and do not have to carry heavy equipment. Sometimes it gets full on the most popular summer days around 10 am. You can make a reservation in advanced at idahostateparks.reserveamerica.com. Click on go camping. Don’t miss the delicious food from the burger boat that visits usually on summer weekend. This is Garden City’s best kept secret. You access this through a hidden boardwalk behind the Garden City Park. The boardwalk is beautiful with many birds and flowers to see. It is an enjoyable uncrowded beach similar to North Beach. It is just a far walk to carry equipment. Enjoyable for an evening stroll.
