Tallent Sausage- 4 min drive. Yup. The local meat market also has a small bodega inside. You’ll find your basic cabin necessities such as booze, bread, chips, and toilet paper.
Dollar General – 5 min drive. Located across the street from Tallent Sausage. This place pretty much has it all!

Brookshire Brothers – If the Dollar Store doesn’t cut it, then drive 11 minutes up HWY 90 to Brookshire Brothers in Trinity.

Got Kids? Cool. So do we!
Feel free to take advantage of our kid stuff. We have kid plates and cups in the kitchen, a pack-and-play with a fitted sheet, and some toys and such stashed in the guest room closet. We also have some kid life vests if you want to go canoeing or swimming. We just ask that you return them and keep them in good shape for our kids to enjoy! There’s also a playground and a sandy lake beach down the street at Bethy Creek Marina.

For lake life lovers-
Our cabin is located less than a mile away from Bethy Creek Resort on the north end of Lake Livingston. Bethy Creek offers a sandy beach swimming area, a boat ramp, boat rentals, and a fishing pier.

Cast a line in the creek in our backyard! Lots of hungry perch, catch bass, crappie and catfish. Take our canoe and paddle up the creek to where it connects to Bethy Creek (lake) and Lake Livingston! Lots of great bass spots along the way. Less than a mile.

For nature enthusiasts-
relax to the sound of wind blowing through the trees, the birds chirping and being surrounded by a lush forest and all its neat offerings. Lounging in our mosquito-protected hammock, or chilling on our back porch is considered an activity. Want to explore more? We are a stone’s throw away from the Sam Houston National Forest and the Davy Crockett National Forest.
