Jim Thorpe Historical District is about an hour's drive away and has beautiful architecture, an hour-long train tour, a trolley, and artisan shops. It's very walkable, though many of the sidewalks are narrow. If you plan to visit, get there early as a lot of the shops and tours close at 5pm.
