If you love a pepper pie you cannot go past bucks country bakehouse simply the best I have ever tried. Fabulous selection of cakes and the coffee is pretty good too.

Only a short 12 minute drive to the nearest town Alexandra. Great coffee shops and cafes. I recommend either the Alexandra hotel or the corner hotel for lunch or dinner. Alternatively the Grant Street grocer is a winner for breakfast or lunch.
Alexandra show is on the second weekend of November. The truck and Ute show is on the Queens Birthday weekend and attracts thousands of people from around Australia.

Mansfield is a trendy town which attracts a lot of tourists on weekends. Winter time is a mecca for skiers and snowboarders heading to Mount Buller. Summer time has become also very popular with downhill mountain bike riding. Mansfield has several great hotels, cafes restaurants. I recommend the coffee merchant for the best coffee in town and if you like Thai food I recommend Bangkok corner the food is fabulous.

I enjoy driving to Eildon and having lunch at the fish and chip shop and taking a relaxing walk around the pondage. They also have great barbecue facilities which are undercover and a Childs playground by the water. If you like fishing you can put a line in all year round. It is well stocked by the local Snobs creek hatchery on a regular basis.

Marysville is my favourite place to visit that is nearby. It has so many things to offer, so Picturesque, Great sightseeing, waterfalls, hiking trails, cafes and picnic/barbecue areas. When in Marysville it is a must to visit Stevensons Falls, it’s a short walk from the car park or alternatively you can take the 3 km walk. I love to have a picnic lunch with friends and family in town at the barbecue area by the river and also enjoy playing a round of golf with my dad.
The golf course is absolutely spectacular.

Bike, hike, horse riding.
The great Victorian rail Trail is a multi use Trail and can be explored on foot, bike for Horse. The easily accessible, varied and unique rail Trail offers close proximity to heritage classified rivers, majestic bellies, lakes and mountains.

Keppel look out starts out from a carpark along Falls Road in Marysville and meanders its way through the Marysville State Forest to the epic Keppel lookout platform at the top.
This place is perfect to stop and eat your lunch on the picnic bench at the top and relax those legs after the hike
