The "painted lady" homes surround the park along with a dozen restaurants, cafes, a brewery and then just off the park is 1111 Mississippi, PW Pizza, Hamilton Urban Steakhouse and Vin de Set with an amazing rooftop patio and downtown views.

Stunning remodel in 2017-2018 of the grounds and the museum but the view hasn't changed nor the ride to the top! Same cable cars as in 1968 only faster ride to the top now. The museum showcases the westward expansion so plan to spend 2 hours there before or after going up.
