The beaches along here are lovely, but it's best to go when the tide is out for the amazing expanse of beach. You must be very careful if you walk out on the sand, and be mindful of the tides. It is very easy to get caught on a sandbank when the tide is coming in. Check out the tide times before you go.

You can walk to here if you research when to walk across. You must leave at certain times to avoid being caught out by the tides. It's a great place to walk and you can see seals at the end of Hilbre.

This is where you catch the train into Liverpool, Chester and the Wirral
The bus back to Birkenhead leaves from Sir Thomas Street, on the corner of Whitechapel, at the bus stop nearest Whitechaple. Catch the 471, 472 or 464. You'll need to get off outside Birkenhead Library on Borough Road.
