Authentic tacos, on the pricier side, but they're sooo good! They also deliver (telephone 52716285). Very possibly Spanish will be required if you want to order by phone. Don't leave Mexico without trying tacos al pastor, or a "gringa"!

Wonderful for breakfast and lunch. Try any of their freshly-made juices! And if you're up for some real Mexican breakfast, order the chilaquiles with cochinita.

Sightseeing

To visit Xochimilco is a treat, but not for the faint of heart. Xochimilco is a series of small villages, or pueblos, that are now surrounded by the city, best known for the canals that traverse them. You can rent a "trajinera", a colorful boat, and navigate the cnaals, visit some chinampas (little islands along the canals man-made for agriculture). Other boats will approach yours to sell toys, food (delicious quesadillas!) and beverages. Even Mariachi boats navigate the canals and ask if you'd like to hear a song for a fee. It is a super fun day-trip that you surely won't forget!

A lovely neighborhood that was designated "Barrio Magico", where you can find plazas surrounded by restaurants and street performers. Main plazas are Jardin del Centenario and Jardin Hidalgo. In Coyoacan you'll find one of the oldest buildings in Mexico City: Parroquia de San Juan Bautista, a church built in 1520. Another charming little church, La Conchita, is closeby.
