Palo Duro Canyon has a dark history. The native tribes that once resided there were driven out by Col. Ranald Mackenzie in the 1800's. Despite it's history, it is the 2nd largest canyon in the U.S. and offers many trails for you to explore. As of 07/16, it costs $5 per person to enter the park.
