When you go from the villa to Hossegor village by the lake side, you can not miss on the north/east bank of Hossegor's lake some oysters houses! You can have oysters from the lake, seafood and wine! A must see for the "apretif" time with a great view on the lake!

This place is so much piece of local history! In my teenage years, this place was called "Le Bar Basque" and the hotspot of local nightlife and, after it's been sold, people started to go the "Seaside" Bar (who does not exist anymore - FX, the manager moved to the Rock Food few years ago). The place has been purchased by the "Coolin" team few years back and is back at it (again)!

In my opinion Hossegor's lake is underated ;) I love to do SUP riding on it (you can rent SUP at "Hossegor Lake Paddle") or spend few hours on the lake’s tiny beaches! A must when the ocean’s beaches are crowded or too windy!

With "l'Etang Noir", those two little lakes are 10/15min ride form the villa and are really nice!

Hossegor area is actually the south (and end) part of "les landes" forest! If you guys want somehting more outdoor/nature oriented you should drive up north (45min/1h) to "Leon" or "Vielle Saint Girons" area and have a look to "Le Courant d'Huchet"! Just try to googled it and mind if you guys would like it!

You can not stay in Hossegor without going to Biarritz, the high end "surfing in the city" surf sport! In a way very deep roots with Bask people/culture an in another way very shinny with more 1M$ cars you can expected ;) Anyway, Biarritz is a must see!

If you guys are not afraid of a 1H00 ride you should go to Spain & San Sebastian city! It is absolutly stunning with great sceneries and AMAZING food! Just spend some time in the old San Sebastian and stop in a nice looking tapas bar, grab a plate and dive in a life time food experience with great wine!
