Food Scene
Trappeze is a pub that is connected to the bar Hirewire (you can actually order from the Trappeze menu at either location). Everything on the Trappeze menu is delicious and their cocktails are to die for. They also have a wide selection of beer on draft - if you want to go local try Creature Comforts or Terrapin. If you're going to go for dinner on a weekend I would suggest calling ahead to make a reservation. Their Sunday brunch is delicious!

Locally made chocolate truffles, macaroons and coffee drinks. The hot chocolate is amazing. My favorite truffles here are the Mayan and the Raspberry but really, you should try them all.

When you say "Renown Athens restaurant" we say "Last Resort." Last Resort has modern southern cooking and the most delicious desserts. It is a little more upscale but you can't go wrong. They don't take reservations so you'll have to show up and hope for the best. Or if you're in the mood for a really good late night cheesecake just walk in, head to the dessert counter and order it to go. There's no shame in sitting on the sidewalk eating cake out of a box when it tastes this good.

Burgers, burgers, burgers. Clocked does them and does them delicious. They also have amazing milkshakes, tots, and fries. It is styled as a retro diner and is located in downtown Athens. My personal favorite is the Southwest Burger but you really can't go wrong.

Located conveniently in Five Points, The Royal Peasant serves delicious traditional British dishes. They also have TVs turned to whatever soccer match happens to be on, a full bar, and a fun atmosphere.

I recently ate Cali' N Tito's three weekends in a row. One of those weekends I ate it twice. I have no regrets.
Cali's has an extensive menu of Cuban food and I have yet to try something on the menu I didn't love. Personal favorites: Steak Cuban Sandwich, Cali's Big Burrito, Quesadilla, Fish Tacos. I always get the pico and chips and add a side of maduros. You can't go wrong here!
This location (on Lumpkin) has primarily outdoor seating and only accepts cash. You can BYOB for $2.50 a person. You'll often see tables of people who brought their own coolers of beer. It is a fun (loud) atmosphere. Perfect for large groups or families.

Located in Normaltown, White Tiger is a secret Athens spot with delicious BBQ. It is located in a neighborhood so keep your eyes peeled when you're looking for it. It doesn't get much more local than this! Their pulled pork is divine!

This is the location of UGA's very first football game (against Mercer). Fun fact: our mascot at the time - a goat. The team realized they needed a mascot right before the game started. As Athens was still primarily a farm town in those days someone ran to a farm and grabbed a goat.
Herty Field is an iconic UGA campus spot with a fountain and beautiful grassy area. It is close to the Arch, to downtown, the Chapel Bell and also happens to be a Pokestop.
