Our Favourite Restaurantes
This restaurant has the most amazing ambiance. It has windows all around that show off the forest and the gardens that it is set in. They serve amazing local Chiapeneco food gourmet style at super reasonable prices. It is a great experience to dine here.
Their most complete breakfast option includes coffee/tea (including refills), hand made tortillas, fruit, a fruit or veggie juice, and your main dish from $95 to $130 MXN.
The dinner menu is a little pricier but still extremely reasonable for the value and the experience provided.
We highly recommend you treating yourself to this food experience.
Please note that they close at 6 pm (1800h) everyday.

Although it is a little hard to get to, if you love Plant Medicine and the powers of Mother Nature, it is worth getting yourself there. It is also a great way of supporting the local indigenous groups that are working with Plant Medicine.
Take time to walk through the gardens and feel the Magic!
They sell different potions, including one for diarrhea and stomach ailments due to parasites! Always something good to have on hand while traveling!

Great place to have a picnic and to explore the caves... we would recommend that you pay the extra to go deeper into the bottom caves... definitely worth the extra 35 pesos!!

Great place to take a picnic lunch to, nice palapa over picnic tables provided by the river. You can rent a rowboat or go into the caves for 10 pesos. As well, there is a Zipline for 100 pesos. There is a soccer field and swings and slides for the children. It is set in a beautiful location and apparently there are some kms of walking trails as well that we want to explore next time we go!

Great day trip! There is a restaurant where you can eat decent food at a decent price. You can swim in the turquoise water and hike up to the falls on well developed, but steep, trails. There are two zip lines that look like a lot of fun!!

We haven´t explored this one yet but it is high on our list for places to check out... There are walking trails with lots of diversity of flora and fauna, from what we have been told! Check it out and let us know what you think!
