Good pizza and salads, life music, and ofcouse deliciuous beer. In and outdoor seating. About a 10 min drive from the house down Lamar, which in itself is a nice place to check out.

Afterwards go have lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants on Barton springs road. My favorite is Shady Grove outdoors. (see more info on restaurnt in my food scene suggestions.)

This is one of the original dance hall in Texas. No words to describe it. I suggest you do put on you dancing shoes, but you can sit and watch for hours. About 10 dollars entree depending on the band that is playing. Food is maily deep fried. Beer is cold. Also have pool tables.
