The Mt. Hood Brewing Co. opened in January 1991 in the alpine village of Government Camp, Oregon, serving locally-produced beers and hearty pub fare in a family-friendly atmosphere. In October 1992, the newly constructed ten barrel brewery rolled out its first barrel under the watchful eye of Brewmaster Jon B. Graber. The Mt. Hood Brewing Co. is named for a brewery that originally operated in Portland, Oregon from 1905 to 1913 during the pre-prohibition heyday of American brewers.

A night (or a few) enjoyed in the comfort and warmth of the Lodge is like stepping back into simpler times, yet with all modern conveniences discreetly available. Tell tales of ski glory over drinks at the Ram's Head Bar, enjoy a fireside hot cocoa next to the towering stone hearth, or go for a high-altitude dip in our newly-renovated, heated outdoor pool and hot tub.

Boating, swimming and fishing are popular on 63-acre Trillium Lake. A small boat ramp is available within the campground and a larger ramp is available in the nearby day-use area. An accessible fishing pier is also available. Anglers cast for a variety of trout.The 2-mile Trillium Shoreline Trail circles the lake, and parts of it are accessible. Visitors also enjoy hiking and biking on other trails in the vicinity. Tours of the area's historical sites are also popular. **NOTE: The gate is locked in the winter, so you have to do the short hike in, but it worth it.
