There are two beaches accessible to the public. The official beach is right at the end of our street. When open, it has a lifeguard and great setup for swimming or spending time by the lake. The other (pictured here) is of the rock beach which is on the other side of 18 mile creek. Take a left out of Franklin street onto lake road, then a right just after the water tower. At the end of Jackson Street, you'll find this rock beach with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere.

Krull Park is an amazing local park right next door to our neighborhood. They have over 300 acres of space to enjoy. The park includes three playgrounds, a basketball court, a splash pad, multiple shelters and grill areas, and a lot of green space to enjoy. On the other side of Lake Road, enjoy beautiful views of the lake.

Don't miss a visit to Bye's Popcorn, a local favorite! A family-operated popcorn stand popping fresh, amazing popcorn, both your standard butter and salt as well as really tasty caramel-covered popcorn.

Cafora's has one of the best dining environments within a close drive. You can have a sit-down Italian dinner or get pizza and wings to go.

Gordy Harper's is a good restaurant for typical American dining. We enjoy their breakfast best. They also have a "bazaar" in the back which is a collection of little shops to browse through.

Mariner's has pretty good food. We prefer to eat here when we can sit on the outside patio. The inside decor is a bit dark, but the patio with the lake breeze makes a stop here worth it.

The Wilson Boat House is about a 10 min drive. They are open seasonally and have an excellent menu as well as a beautiful environment indoors or outside to enjoy. Known for their seafood and steak, we've never had a bad meal here.
