Avenas is is a nice small village now part of Deux-Grosnes is a (merger of the former communes of Monsols (the seat), Avenas, Ouroux, Saint-Christophe, Saint-Jacques-des-Arrêts, Saint-Mamert and Trades). http://commune.avenas.free.fr/ It is very close (13 km) from our place and also worth visiting for its restaurants: - La Terrace du Beaujolais with a beautiful panoramic view. - Ema restaurant in the vilage. Very good food and a very nice view -Auberge du fût d'Avenas - Simple food, cosy atmosphere with a fireplace. A quiet terrace for the summer season

A very nice city, 42 km from our house (less than one hour by car) built along the Saône river. Visit of the village of "La Clayette" and the market

La Clayette is situated in the southernmost part of Burgundy, north of Beaujolais, 22 km from our place, 25 minutes by car.
