Their desserts are very very delicious especially "Laz pastry (pie). We call it as a "Laz Borek" This dish is a specialty of Rize region, and simply a baklava like dessert filled with custard instead of nuts.. Laz Boregi has a very interesting (weird) name for those Turkish people who are not from the region, since the name 'borek' is usually used for different types of pastry dishes with variety of savory fillings, except Laz Boregi.. And Laz is, according to Wikipedia, the name of the "ethnic group native to the Black Sea coastal regions of Turkey and Georgia".. Then, the English translation for this dessert would be 'Borek of Laz People'...

Most likely natives in Trabzon eat it for breakfast. To me is not just for breakfast as well.

This dish is called ‘kuymak’ (kooy-MAK’) in the city of Trabzon, ‘mıhlama’ (MIH’-lah-mah) in the northeastern provinces like Erzurum and Bayburt and ‘muhlama’ (MOOH’-lah-mah) in Rize and Artvin. In Giresun and Ordu it’s called ‘yağlaş’ (YAH’-lahsh). If you go to Soumela Monastery, you would able to stop by this place.

P.S: l strongly recommend to eat this dessert dish in this place because you may not get their unique taste in other place but this place may far from Trabzon ( almost takes 54 min) for you so if you have no time to visit there, l recommend you other nice place (Nejla Hanımın Ev tatlıları- see in below for address ) to eat this dish. Their baked rice pudding is so good either.
