Walking

There are good walks from the house taking you along a secluded stretch of the grand canal. Going one direction takes you to Ticknevin Bride (1796) and Lock 20 (1804). The other direction takes you to the post apolcalyptic decomissioned briquette factory en route along the bog edge to Lullymore. I will give you directions on arrival.

Ruin of a Tudor mansion on site of a norman castle. Its usually deserted making a very photogenic backdrop for instagramming. If you head into Carbury from the east take a right turn at the Castle Inn. Drive straight up to the top of the road passed the Church. Park here and go through the gate. Watch out for cattle.
