Jack Brown's next door is famous - items on special are very cheap - but the cousin is Billy Jack's. The "sticky nuggs" (hand breaded never frozen fried chicken bites) are a local favorite

Food Advice
Harrisonburg High School has over 70 native languages spoken. The most diverse in the state! So, take your time to search the internet. I listed in my recommendations restaurants that appeal to a wide audience. There are many, many good small restaurants run by the immigrant population. Harrisonburg is a small farming community that has seen lots of growth in the last twenty years. It is surrounded by two mountain ranges with hiking, kayaking and sightseeing. It's not what you tend to think of as a "food scene". However, it punches above it's weight class due to our immigrant population.
