SO BEAUTIFUL - many people paddleboard in this area and it's just a great place for sheltered water - it's a 2 mile walk down the beach from our cottage.

Surprisingly cool little town. Lots of historic cafe's, a historic cinema, very cute thrift and antique stores, and all the big grocery stores plus a great hardware store: Rosenburg's.

A beach you can only get to through a tunnel? yes please. From the beach at our cottage, walk through Maxwell PointTunnel (read the history) and spend a few hours exploring. Super cool and completely other worldly in certain weather conditions (try going when it's foggy!). Especially good at low tide.

It’s a food cart but has picnic tables in back in a lovely meadow. Tasty food and friendly service.
