Instead of going to Selfridges or Harrods pick up a bargain jumper at the Smedley Factory Shop! Combine going to this shop with a trip to Matlock Bath or walking along the nearby river. Smedleys have been designing and making knitwear in Derbyshire for over 200 years.

Well worth a trip to Hathersage to visit the David Mellor shop and enjoy something to eat in their fantastic cafe. There is a museum attached to the shop and this is fascinating. The cutlery is still made in the iconic round building which used to be the village gas works.

Definitely worth a trip to this independent boutique which stocks clothes for women and men. It is very near Jack Rabbits so grab something to eat before or after you treat yourself! A fantastic sale room at the back of the shop where I have managed to pick up some great bargains!
