The Lerins Islands (Îles de Lérins) is an archipelago of 4 islands located near Cannes. These islands are a great place to relax in nature, away from the crowds of tourists who stay on the French Riviera.
Saint Honorat island is only 1.5 kilometers long and just 400 meters wide. You can get around it in less than an hour at a gentle walking pace. Of course, in reality it will take much longer because it is worth stopping to admire the beautiful views and enjoy the charms of the local flora.
You can take a ferry to the Lerins Islands. They run from the Old Port of Cannes.
Before the cruise you have to decide which island you want to visit because there is no ferry between the islands.
Ferries from Cannes run throughout the year from morning to evening. You can find prices and hours on the trans-cote-azur.co.uk website (for the Saint Margaret island) and on the cannes-ilesdelerins.com website (for the Saint Honorat island).

It is a 5-minute walk from the beach and is full of restaurants around the Rue Saint Antoine and the Rue du Suquet. A lot of the area is pedestrianised and is a major tourist attraction for visitors to Cannes.
The rue du Suquet is the original main road into Cannes. It came in below the walls of the castle (for defence reasons). It is a pedestrian street again and has plenty of restaurants.

Pretty fine sand beach at Pointe Croisette, facing the Lérins Islands. The environment is very pleasant. Away from the road, between the Pierre Canto port and the Palm Beach.
During the high season, it is less crowded than the Croisette beach.
