Orange Beach is a great family beach spot, here on the Gulf Coast. Orange Beach and Gulf Shores are known for being family-friendly destinations.
After visiting many other beaches around the country and several around the world, I've come to realize that we really do have the BEST beaches right here in Alabama. In my book, nothing compares to our white sugary sands and turquoise waters right here in our backyard!
There's so much to do here and it's entirely possible to spend a full week here enjoying the sun, sand, and water. The Alabama beaches stretch out 32 miles from the Florida border to the Fort Morgan Peninsula. You'll have plenty of great places to eat here in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. There's tons of activities to keep the family entertained throughout the day. Right here at the Wharf, you'll have activities that are fun for the whole family. After all, it is the entertainment district of Orange Beach! When you're ready to venture out, check out The Park at OWA, The Track, Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, The Hangout, The Flora-Bama, and many other places. There's just so much to do in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores.

Getting to The Wharf from Pensacola Airport
Starting out going Southwest on Airport Blvd toward College Blvd.
Turn right onto College Blvd. Turn slight left onto N 9th Ave./ CR-289.
Turn right onto Bayou Blvd./ FL-296. Continue to follow FL-296.
Stay straight to go onto Saufley Field Rd./CR-296.
Turn left onto Blue Angel Pkwy. / FL-173 S.
Turn right onto Sorrento Rd/ FL-173 S. Continue to FL. 292 (crossing into Alabama).
FL-292 becomes AL-182/ Perdido Beach Blvd.
Turn right onto AL-161.
Turn left onto Canal Road. The Wharf will be on your right before you get to Foley Beach Express.

Getting to The Wharf From Mobile Airport.
Turn left onto Airport Blvd. / CR-56 E.
Merge onto I-65 S.
Merge onto I-10 E via Exit 0 on the left toward Florida.
Merge onto AL-59 via Exit 44 towards Loxley/ Gulf Shores Beaches/ Gulf State Park.
Turn left on Foley Beach Express (portions toll $2.75).
At the end of Foley Beach Express take a left onto Canal Road and then take next left at the stop light and you will be at The Wharf.
