Entering through the wooden door that leads into the immense limestone cavity, one cannot help but be struck by the atypical architecture of the building. The great hall is supported by two monolithic octagonal pillars which immediately attract attention as they are imposing. The rock-cut vaults reach almost 20 meters in height. This is the largest troglodyte religious building in Europe.
It's also a great place to cool off on a hot day and enjoy the peace and beauty.
Throughout summer there are musical nights held within the monolithe and it certainly makes for an atmospheric evening.

Fabulous fun, 2 people cycle and there are 3 seats for passengers. Make sure to stop for lunch in Thivier, there are some amazing patisseries and restaurants to choose from. (it's also very pretty to wander around)
