A very lively beach, the only sandy beach in Jávea/Xàbia. All other beaches and coves are of pebbles where you need shoes. Here you have very shallow water and lovely soft golden sand. A lot of watersports are happening here such as windsurfing, paddle boarding, surfing, kayaking and scuba diving. And of course swimming. On the beach there are nets for beach tennis, beach volley ball and children play areas. Along the promenade, there are all kinds of
restaurants which will suit everyone's appetite. Arenal is one of the three focus points of Javea/Xabia. The other two are Jávea/Xàbia Port and Jávea/Xàbia Old Town

A very lively beach, the only sandy beach in Jávea/Xàbia. All other beaches and coves are of pebbles where you need shoes. Here you have very shallow water and lovely soft golden sand. A lot of watersports are happening here such as windsurfing, paddle boarding, surfing, kayaking and scuba diving. And of course swimming. Culture Interest
This old church is located in Jávea/Xàbia Old Town. It was built in 1304 and it was enlarged in 1513, the built was led by an architect from the Basque country, Domingo de Urteaga. It is well worth a visit as it was declared as a national historic artistic monument in 1931.

Located in Jávea/Xàbia Port. It was inaugurated in 1967. An avant-garde religious architecture, a very interesting building especially the inside roof. The surrounding areas are beautiful and peaceful. We always enjoy visiting this very unique church.

A very small but interesting art gallery. Their exhibits change regularly and it is admission free. Located right by the sea in Jávea/Xàbia Port and among many cafes and restaurants. It was a station of the old Cable House where communications were connected to the Balearic Islands many years ago. That is why it is called La Casa Del Cable. An interesting place to spend half an hour there when you are in the Port.

Montgo mountain is 753 metres above sea level. In the Spring and Autumn months, one can easily hike up to the top to enjoy a spectacular 360° view. Too hot in the summer. No cafe at the top. Take plenty of water and a picnic. It takes 2 hours to walk up and 1.5 hours to walk down from the gunclub in Denia. You will need a very good pair of walking shoes as the last 100m is quite steep and rockery.
We walked up to the summit 5 times already as each time we had family and friends come and visit, we walked up with them.

We love going there for fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds. Then have a coffee afterwards Many other stalls there selling all sorts of things such as clothes, beddings, shoes, decorations pieces, kitchen stuff etc. Fun walking around and looking at things. Some stalls there offer freshly squeezed orange juice.

Bring beach swimming shoes
Most beaches here in Jávea/Xàbia are pebbles beaches except Arenal. You will find it easier to walk in or out of the sea on rock shoes. But if you forgot to bring any, All the China shops sell them for less than 10€.
