Oakland Park has a long, rich, and diverse history, dating all the way back to 1901. Over the past 117 years, the city has overcome numerous hurdles and developed into one of the most popular and exciting seaside resort cities in Southeastern Florida.
The City of Oakland Park is one of the older municipalities in Broward County. It was originally chartered as the Town of Floranada in December 1925. This was to be no little village. The boundaries went from the ocean west to what is now U.S. 441 and from the north fork of Middle River north to Cypress Creek.

It is a small city bursting with many great places to eat and filled with vintage shops. Its best feature is that it is family-oriented. This is what captured our hearts when moving to our NAVINTOS House.

Miami Beach was once our home and we loved it for its beautiful beach and it is known for its international cachet with models and celebrities, and its early-20th-century architecture in the Art Deco Historic district with pastel-colored buildings, especially on Ocean Drive.

LOVE this place! It is about 10-15 minutes from our CASA NAVINTOS. It is a small beachfront town on Florida's east coast just north of Fort Lauderdale. Known for being a relaxing, casual town that has the breezy atmosphere of a seaside village, mid-century modern architecture, and lowrise-only development reflecting the charming style of Old Florida. This is our favorite spot for sharing and visiting when our family comes to visit us.
