Driving your own or renting a car is probably the easiest way around Bedford. There are 4 major highways within Bedford County. US 460 runs East-West, State route 122 runs North and South, Route 24 runs East and West, US 43 runs Northwest and Southeast. Although, Amtrak does stop in Lynchburg and Roanoke.
