15 mins drive from Cove House. This is a small nature reserve with some walking paths by the water. The star attraction being the actual blue hole which you can jump into off the deck or find the pathways above in the forest made by locals leading to some more adventurous cliff jumping spots. The water is incredibly blue and clear and this spot is quiet much of the time making it your own private lagoon.

25 mins drive from Cove House. This is a historic Bermuda ‘town’ with a quaint village feel. Lovely for a little stroll around the shops and town square. We recommend venturing out here around lunchtime and stopping into The White Horse for lunch. Request a table outside on the water. Other things of note in St George’s: one of the oldest churches in the world circa 1612 St Peters church, Long Story Short shop nestled in the cobblestone streets, Brumae Cafe for coffee & treats, 'The Unfinished Church' a beautiful roofless ruin of a neo-Gothic stone church and Fort St Catherine, an old fort worthy of a visit for the beautiful views. Bermuda’s newest hotel, St Regis, is also located in St Georges next to Fort St Catherine and is a beautiful spot to stop by for drinks (or a more expensive lunch or dinner) on the ground level next to the pool and beach. A lesser known fact is that the beautiful beach next to Fort St Catherine is actually still public regardless of St Regis Hotel so you are welcome to take a dip!!

The railway trail is a walking path that runs along most of Bermuda and is a lovely for a scenic walk along the rugged coastline. Search for a map of the Bermuda railway trail to plan your trip based on where you would like to go and any particular land marks you would like to see. Particularly in autumn/winter we often get a coffee from Buzz at Esso Crawl Hill gas station and then enter the trail almost directly across the road on the opposite side. Keep an eye out for the railway trail sign as it's not super obvious. Park and walk all the way over two beautiful bridges and back again. Lovely walk, gorgeous views over the north shore.

7 mins drive from Cove House. This is small but lovely aquarium & zoo located in Flatts area. The domes are particularly fun where some small animals like monkeys and lemurs run loose in the tropical surroundings. We recommend tagging this onto lunch at either Rustico’s or The Village Pantry.

10 mins drive from Cove House. Small but well-executed maritime museum. Great rainy day activity. We recommend tagging this onto lunch or dinner at Harborfront Restaurant. Request a table outside on the patio on the water for a pretty Harbour view. Melissa likes the sushi here.

25 mins drive from Cove House. Climb the 185-step spiral staircase of Gibbs' Hill Lighthouse to enjoy one of the best views on the island. There is also a cute restaurant located here, Tamarind, which is cosy and intimate with good Indian food.

45 mins drive and at the complete opposite end of the island. Instead of driving, we recommend getting the ferry departing from Hamilton to Dockyard. It’s quick and an way to see Bermuda from the water. Dockyard is mainly about strolling around the various shops and gift markets. There is also The National Museum of Bermuda (entrance in front of Frog & Onion). Dolphin Quest is located inside this area as well. Advance bookings are required for Dolphin Quest. Food options are not super inspiring here. Have a simple lunch outside at Bone Daddies. Melissa likes their tuna tartar. Or, pub style lunch at The Frog & Onion. Save room for a locally made icecream from Alex & Pete’s Artisan Bermuda Ice-cream before boarding the ferry back to Hamilton. Alternatively, if you made the choice to drive to Dockyard you can stop for a Bermuda fish sandwich at Woody’s on the way there or back.

This is our top pick for boat rentals and activities on the water. We often rent the 16-foot Boston Whaler from their Hamilton location, situated behind Hamilton Princess Hotel. However, there are also locations in St Georges and Southampton depending on what part of the island you'd like to see. They have a variety of nice boats of different sizes available. If you are not comfortable captain'ing your own boat they also offer several different guided snorkeling, jet ski and boat tour options. Another very cute boat rental option is Bermuda Electric Boats which isn't currently listed on Airbnb. Adorable pink electric boats perfect for a picnic on the water for an afternoon or evening sunset cruise.
