Aurum is currently my favorite happy hour place in Breckenridge! They have discounted drinks and half-off appetizers every day. Everything is high quality, the bar area is gorgeous, and the front deck is amazing on a warm day. I recommend checking out the website or calling to confirm HH times and making a reservation.

Not only does the distillery have award-winning spirits, but I think it has the best food in Breckenridge. It is pricey though. If you want to splurge, go for dinner. For a deal, go during happy hour. The menu is different during HH but still good. You can also do tastings here and check out their store. They have a shuttle if you don't have a car or a designated driver. Call the distillery for more info. Reservations recommended.

Blue Moose has an excellent breakfast and the owners live in our complex! There you'll find classic breakfast options like eggs benedict, pancakes, and omelets. I love their salsa and tend to get anything that includes it.

Their menu changes seasonally but you can expect an Italian flair and a good selection of pasta, beef, chicken, and fish dishes. At certain times of the year, they have a regular happy hour before dinner AND a "reverse" happy hour after dinner. Enjoy half-price martinis and apps. They also serve lunch. Dinner reservations are recommended.

For classic Italian and huge pizzas, head to Giampietros. They have a simple menu, but everything is good. I like the calzones and baked ziti.

For Mexican with a mountain flair, head to Mi Casa. There you'll find classic Mexican dishes but also elk tacos and mango duck quesadillas. They also have plenty of options for vegetarians and make a decent margarita too.

If you want fancy (and good), go to Rootstalk. Located in a cute little house right on Main Street, Rootstalk features a seasonal American menu that will impress. They also have a great wine list, beer list, and creative cocktails.

Want a delicious (yet greasy) burger? Empire burger has you covered. Their fries are also very tasty and they have tons of fun sauces for you to try. This place is casual and good, but not somewhere you want to go if you're on a diet!

Want baked goods in Breck? Clint's is your place. They have amazing cakes, cookies, pies, and pastries. Even their vegan cookies are to die for. Clint's also makes great lattes and has a kitchen that makes breakfast and lunch sandwiches. It's great for a quick meal but you can also order cakes and pies ahead of time for a special occasion. Highly recommended.

Broken Compass just opened up a new location on Main Street. It's the best local beer in town (way better than Breckenridge Brewery which is now owned by Anheuser-Busch). If you're an IPA fan like me, they've got some delicious options. And if you don't, they have plenty of other rotating brews as well.
