For a special or romantic meal
Whenever I go out to celebrate a special occasion, I immediately try getting reservations at these places. Their ambiances, drinks, and food quality all contribute to a very memorable experience.
$$$ - II Terrazzo is an upscale Italian restaurant. The interior is modeled to replicate an old town Italian courtyard that features red brick fireplaces and a candle lit ambiance. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is absolutely delicious, and the drinks are to die for! If you have a sweet tooth like me, I recommend the Tiramisu.

1208 Wharf St$$$ - If you enjoy seafood and/or shellfish you absolutely need to visit Finn's! They also have a nice variety of meat, burger, and even a few pizza options. $$$ - Agrius is an organic restaurant serving delicious meals made out from their wood-fire oven. Although I personally would not say that the ambiance is too romantic, this is definitely a restaurant to visit for a special occasion. The food quality is out of this world.

Delicious budget friendly meals
These restaurants are my absolute favorite go to places when I want to have a nice night out, but still remain budget conscious :)
$$ - Pagliacci's offers some of the coziest ambiances you will find in almost all of Victoria. This is definitely the restaurant to visit if you want to enjoy a romantic evening without breaking the wallet too hard. They also offer delicious bread to start which I can't help but fill up on!

1011 Broad St$$ - Pagliacci's offers some of the coziest ambiances you will find in almost all of Victoria. This is definitely the restaurant to visit if you want to enjoy a romantic evening without breaking the wallet too hard. They also offer delicious bread to start which I can't help but fill up on!
$$ - I am going to be honest, although Sült's has a decently sized menu, I only come here for the perogies and Ukrainian Borscht. Not to say that the other food options are bad (I wouldn't really know), I just come here and fill up on their perogies. They offer 7 varieties of fried perogies, or you can get the sample (my favorite) that will get you one of each. hands down, some of the best perogies I have ever tasted.

Bars & Pubs
These are some of my most favorite bars in downtown Victoria. They are all nice establishments, safe, and most of all offer a nice ambiance.
$$ - On one side, you they have a sports bar / pub and on the other side they have a family friendly restaurant. They offer great drink specials, nice food, and if you sit on their heated patio, you can have some nice views of the Harbour.
Belleville's Watering Hole & Diner

$$ - This place is absolutely stunning. It used to be an a bank almost a century ago, and it still has all of its character preserved. There is a lot of seating, two floors, and the best part? They have live music! This is definitely a place to check out!

Except, unlike the Irish times, this place feels almost like you're sitting in an incredible cool bank vault rather than a castle. They offer great drink specials and their food is absolutely delicious.

Breakfast and Brunch
These are some of my most favorite breakfast locations. I absolutely love all day breakfast, and these places offer the best in terms of options, quality, and price in the entire city!
$$ - Although you should be prepared to wait a bit to be seated, it will be well worth it! Jam Cafe offers some of the best comfort food with a unique twists. I definitely recommend the Blackstone Benny.

$$ - Blue Fox is a Victoria favorite! It's known for its all-day breakfast and huge portions. Although its about a 10 minute walk from the downtown core, its well worth the commute. The staff is very friendly, and the ambiance is quite vibrant.

$$ - This is a wonderful Japanese restaurant with craft cocktails and a very nice interior ambiance. The setting is quite intimate and the food is absolutely delicious! This is one of my favorite places!

$$$ - Clive's is a very elegant cocktail lounge. This is one of my favorite places to go for a celebratory drink, or just to treat myself. They offer a variety of wonderful small plates, and of course beautiful hand crafted cocktails.
