Buckett’s is very close to my house, just a quick 3-4 minute drive. They have the very best wings in lee county, I also highly recommend getting a side of their waffle or sweet potato fries. Bonus, they are the local hot spot for Iowa State Cyclone fans! Great beer deals as well, very popular spot for the locals in the area.

Mythos is very close to my house, only a 5 minute drive. Family owned and operated, always fresh and delicious authentic Greek food. I always go for the chicken souvlaki salad, obviously they gyro options are fantastic. We usually start the meal with the impressive flaming cheese appetizer.

Go early to the Ford and Edison estates, wear good walking shoes to walk the gorgeous paths and both houses. Make sure to follow along with the free audio tour (which is available in many languages). Also check out the last little house on the end which is the snack and gift shop, they sell amazing locally made ice cream tubs, canned jams/sauces which are made with local fruits and produce. Fun fact, the lazy Susan in the center of my dining table was purchased from the Ford and Edison estates and was hand made from the wood of a fig tree that fell down on the grounds during Irma.

Generally opened only on the weekends, this flea market is the best in the area and is quite large! So many different eating options within the flea market as well as several produce stands around the perimeter of the market itself. You could spend an hour or 4 hours here. It’s quite a diverse place to spend a Saturday morning at.

It’s quite a diverse place to spend a Saturday morning at.
This is about 20 minutes from my place, my son and I always get season passes here to have some fun in the sun with their various water slides, lazy river and multiple lounge pools. IMPORTANT TO NOTE:they are very strict about no beverages or snacks/food into the park, you are allowed closed water bottles. They will check every bag.

Good place for kids and adult alike. Don’t miss the huge Christmas store. There is often a Groupon for this place that includes admission and a game of mini golf. There is also a restaurant on site and on the weekends usually has live music.

Closest shopping center, about 5 minutes from my house. There is a Dave and busters here, beautiful evening walking location. I would recommend trying the Prosciutto and arugula pizza from Grimaldi’s. There is also a Regal movie theater in this shopping center.

Cypress lake is centralized to Fort myers and just minutes to sanibel and fort myers beach. We have an amazing park called Rutenberg park which provides wonderfully shaded and well kept playgrounds for your kids to enjoy. Cypress lakes is filled with very friendly neighbors who look out for each other, we are a tight-knit community.

We have an amazing park called Rutenberg park which provides wonderfully shaded and well kept playgrounds for your kids to enjoy. Cypress lakes is filled with very friendly neighbors who look out for each other, we are a tight-knit community.
Rent one of the 2 or 4 person bikes for an hour and see the entire park. On weekends they have a train ride that costs $5/person and small children ride free. There is also a free splash pad and multiple playgrounds and gardens to walk through.
