Julia Davis park has a modest zoo right by the river. You don't even have go into the zoo to see the giraffes, just walk towards friendship bridge and look at the back of the zoo. The walking paths are shaded and there are scooters and bikes you can rent.

This park is the entrance to float the Boise River. Drive or Uber to Barber Park or take the shuttle bus from Ann Morrison Park. You can rent tubes or rafts at the entrance. Large rafts and life jackets are recommended for safety. Floating the Boise River takes approximately 2.5 hours and is only open between the months of June through early September.
