The menu changes daily and includes a variety of inexpensive meat, vegetarian and vegan options served in generous portions. The staff appreciate customers bringing their own containers (we have a supply in the drawer for your use). This place is very popular with locals so make sure you get there before midday before the food runs out!

Beaches
The most popular beaches in Syros Greece are located on the southern side of the island. Some of them are sandy and others are pebbled, but they all have crystal water. The most organized Syros beaches are Galissas beach, Megas Gialos beach, Kini beach, and Poseidonia beach, some of them lined up with family hotels, seaside taverns and beach bars.
Syros beaches can be accessed by bus from Ermoupolis.

While you’re swimming you can look at the neoclassical mansions that frame the shoreline. During the summer months sunbeds are available at the beach club Ciel. Food and drinks also available.

Wonderful cafe with Italian style coffee and amazing home made lemonade. Doubles up as an art gallery and sometimes music venue. The owner Spyros is an artist and two of our pieces are by him - the yellow church in the lounge room and the fields above the green bed. If the tiramisu is on offer - take it!

Follow our street all the way to the medieval town of Ano Syros. Here you will find the typical ‘blue and white’ found on many of the Cyclades island. Fabulous views from the peak where the church is. 15-20 minutes.

The opera house is a few minutes walk from the apartment. You can take a self guided tour for minimal cost or check their schedule for operas and other shows. The opera house was based on La Scala in Milan.

For fans of Rembetika! In a traditional house in Ano Syros, the Museum of the "Patriarch" of the rebetiko is housed, who with his amazing talent and timeless songs such as Fragosyriani, wrote his own history in Greek music.

Supplies - food and beverages
We grab most of our fresh supplies form the open air market on Chios Street. There you will find fruit and veg, fish mongers and a bakery.
There are 3 supermarkets nearby, plus Lidl which is 20 minutes from the apartment. During summer Lidl is also open on Sundays.
