Crater Lake is just a 2 hour drive away. The north entrance (the shortest way into the park) opens late May to mid June. If the north entrance isn't open, you'll have to take a 45 mile detour down highway 230/62 to the west entrance.

The towering 272-ft waterfalls is a short hike from the parking lot. Easily the biggest bang for your buck as far as waterfalls go along the North Umpqua River.
