Sightseeing
Situated on a rocky peninsula on the Black Sea, the more than 3,000-year-old site of Nessebar was originally a Thracian settlement (Menebria). At the beginning of the 6th century BC, the city became a Greek colony. The city’s remains, which date mostly from the Hellenistic period, include the acropolis, a temple of Apollo, an agora and a wall from the Thracian fortifications. Among other monuments, the Stara Mitropolia Basilica and the fortress date from the Middle Ages, when this was one of the most important Byzantine towns on the west coast of the Black Sea. Wooden houses built in the 19th century are typical of the Black Sea architecture of the period.

Action Aquapark is a water thematic park situated in the western part of Sunny Beach Resort. It is the first water park in Bulgaria and proudly bears the name "Action" because there is no way to get bored here. Since 2001 Action Aqua Park has come a long way and turned into the most reputable summer attraction in Sunny Beach and Nessebar area. New water slides and attractions were built and the quiality of service is impeccable.
Over an area of 36 000 m2 there are 30 water attractions, thematic bars and restaurants and all this surrounded by tropical palm trees and Mediterranean shrubs, wooden bridges over the 330 feet long Lazy River, geysers and fountains, beautiful areas for sunbathing,
